Updates 3: AppleScript Samples, Tidy for Yosemite

October has been a month full of updates to “the little things.”

AppleScripts

Perhaps the largest distinction between Balthisar Tidy and Balthisar Tidy for Work is the latter’s support for AppleScript. However without buying Balthisar Tidy for Work is was difficult to judge its AppleScript capabilities.

Now I’m happy to report that I’ve added an AppleScript Section to Balthisar Tidy’s product description pages collection. It includes direct download links to the sample AppleScripts that were only available if you took the trouble to find them over on Github. They’re now also available on the downloads page, too.

The sample scripts demonstrate how to implement batch processing, how to use the Developer Suite, and how to implement Folder Actions.

Balthisar Tidy and Yosemite Compatibility

Balthisar Tidy is completely compatible with Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite). If you make regular use of the Quick Tutorial for some reason, you’ll notice that it’s washed out and difficult to read on Yosemite. A fix is already applied to the Github source, and I’ll post updates to the App Store and the Website soon.

Balthisar Tidy Help Updates

Several irritating typos and misspellings have been corrected in the Help files, and a couple of sentences have been improved. More importantly a build-system logic error has been corrected that led to hiding some of the Help content for some versions of Balthisar Tidy.

These fixes will be included in the aforementioned update, coming soon.

The Little Things

And while it’s certainly important not to ignore the little things, big things are coming soon, too. Stay tuned for future announcements about Balthisar Tidy!
